Taken captive by a fierce Shawnee war chief, a beautiful pioneer woman discovers a world of savage beauty and danger in this extraordinary adventure. Mary Ingles is a Virginia homesteader whose family is suddenly attacked by a Shawnee war party. Taken captive Mary fights back with the only weapons she has: courage and determination. Impressed by her strength and fortitude, Wildcat, leader of the Shawnee war party decides to make Mary his mate. Mary then makes the dangerous decision to escape the Shawnee village with another captive woman.
